Our Story

We trace our roots to the 1930's and the R.E. Walther Company based in Buffalo, NY. Our founder Fran Guppenberger, a BSME graduate of Purdue University, joined R.E. Walther after working several years for E.I. Dupont at their Wilmington, DE and Louisville, KY facilities. With Ray Walther's retirement, F.J. Guppenberger, Inc was born in 1966. As the industrial climate changes, so does the lineup of companies we represent. By adapting to the needs of the market, we are able to support our customers efforts by helping them source the correct equipment for their applications. Our greatest source of pride is the relationships we've developed with hundreds of engineers, maintenance managers, technicians and buyers. We look forward to embracing current and future technologies to not only maintain but improve the level of service we provide.
